THEY SEEK HIM HERE

BILL LONDON

RareKind Gallery, the UK’s only 100% genuine graffiti art gallery are proud to present the first ever solo show by the award winning artist, Bill London.

Arguably one of the UK’s most skilled graffiti artists with a career spanning ten years, Bill London has consistently raised the bar for London Graffiti. His skill, subtlety and innovative subject matter have buyers champing at the bit to get their hands on his illusive canvases.

Influenced by an eclectic mix of architectural line, bold colour, traditional tattoo and oriental art, Bill London applies the cloak and dagger elements of purist graffiti ‘Wild Style’ (camouflaged lettering and words through intricate manipulation) with delicate aesthetic elements and layering to create hypnotic final pieces, which can be appreciated on infinite levels.

Alongside these wild-style canvases, the ‘They Seek Him Here’ show also includes a series of 3 illustrative, concept pieces, exploring themes on Britain’s dark, alluring urban and social landscape; and as part of the exhibition, an entire wall of the 1,000ft gallery has been covered with small canvasses overlaid with a graffiti mural, which will then be divided up as small artworks.

JonOne

Function13 Gallery presents

DECIMALS REBUILT [416]

Opening Reception July 11th

FUNCTION13 Gallery is proud to present the 4th installment of the multidisciplinary art exhibition DECIMALS REBUILT.

After two years of construction, the exhibition consists of over 35 paintings, graphics, and experimental animations all created to reflect MEDIAH's conceptual world. This is MEDIAH's most extensive collection of work to date, culminating in a single immersive exhibition that will be sure to excite and inspire. DECIMALS REBUILT has travelled to Montreal, Winnipeg, Ottawa and after much anticipation will open in Toronto at the Function13 Gallery!

The exhibition combines the artistic genres of contemporary painting, digital media; such as animation and graphic design and street art into one environment. Each piece draws the parallels between human emotion, evolutionary existence, progressive responsibility and spirituality. As part as the functionality, Decimals Rebuilt will introduce the dynamic between social interactions and the principals of math. The exhibition creates a multilevel atmosphere for the audience.

MEDIAH's work consists of weaving traditional street art forms with digital media, traditional painterly techniques and digital animation which result in an aesthetic grounding based in many of the forms and approaches found in the workof Futurist painters of the early 20th century. The result of which glorifies and captures the essence of speed, motion, dynamism and force to create movement in the image surface. However, MEDIAH's work simultaneously provides the viewer with not only this glorification of speed relating to the thirst for a faster and more streamline world but also its unavoidable repercussions of collision, disaster and chaos.
