This tool allow an administrator to update mpd's on a cluster of machines.

Refresh:

Refresh queries the network for the host names.  If you have access to multiple domains you can specify the domain name in the domain edit box.

Find:

Find attempts to connect to the mpd on each host in the list to determine if the launcher has been successfully installed there.  When it is finished, the selected hosts are the ones where the launcher is installed.  Find disables the buttons and enables them when it is finished.  It may take a while to contact all the hosts.

Verify:

Add:

When add is clicked the selected host names are added to the list.  You must do this before clicking Apply.  You can add hosts to the list that do not appear in the main box by typing them into the edit box above the host list and clicking Add.

File

Select this option if the new mpd you want use as the source for updating mpd's is located on your file system

URL

Select this option if the new mpd you want use as the source for updating mpd's is located on a web site or an ftp site.  The ANL button will set the field to Argonne's ftp site where the most current version will be posted.

MPD Password

If you installed mpd manually and set the passphrase to something other than the default, enter it here.

Account and Password:

Enter the credentials here of a user who can stop and start the mpd service on each machine (ie an adminstrator)

Update:

Update the mpd's on all the hosts in the list.

Update single:

Update the mpd on the selected host only.

Force update:

Check this box to suppress version checking when updating the mpd's.  With this box unchecked, only mpd's with versions older than the new one will be updated.
