The software is available by anonymous ftp as ``codec.V3.0.tar.Z" in the ``car" directory of ``cs.ucl.ac.uk". This file only contains the source files.
Uncompressing and untarring the file should result in three directories, ``src", ``bin" and ``sunOS4". ``make" will build the installation in ``sunOS4". ``make install" in the ``sunOS4" directory will copy the newly built executables and ancillary files into ``bin", overwriting any existing executables there.
