Automatic Partitioning Confirmation One of the largest obstacles for a new user during a Linux installation is partitioning. Red Hat Linux makes this process much simpler by providing an option for automatic partitioning. By selecting automatic partitioning, you will not have to use the Disk Druid or fdisk partitioning tools to assign mount points or allocate space for your installation. Automatic partitioning will create and assign partitions for you. If you chose a workstation-class installation, it will remove any existing Linux partitions on your system. If you chose a server-class installation, it will remove all partitions (Linux, Windows and/or others) on your system.
