| Introduction
What
is TrueTerm CE? Using the dictionaries
of the TrueTerm series you can look up words as easily as in
normal dictionaries. TrueTerm is an application program that
stands out not only due to the quality of the integrable dictionaries
but also due to its portability to various platforms. For example, TrueTerm
runs on PCs under Windows 95/98 and under NT/2000/XP. Special versions
are available for mobile computers such as PalmOS, Psion Series 5, netBook
and Revo. With the network version
TrueTermNet you can for instance create and manage a company's
terminology for translations in local networks. With TrueTerm
you guarantee that all employees have access to the same dictionary
data and that all employees can add their own data to the common database. Installation and deinstallation This version of TrueTerm
has been developed exclusively for mobile computers with the operating
system Windows CE from Version 2.11 onwards, for the Pocket PC and
H/PC Pro, H/PC 2000. This program does not run under Windows CE
2.0 and 1.0. In order to install
the program you need a desktop computer running Windows 95/98/NT/2000. The installation is
carried out in two steps: The installation of the
TrueTerm CE data from the CD-ROM onto your desktop computer (CD-ROM
> Desktop computer). ·
From the desktop
computer onto the mobile computer (Desktop computer > Windows CE). ·
Insert the TrueTerm
CE CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive of your desktop computer. ·
If you have activated
the autorun option of Windows, the installatio will be started automatically.
Otherwise please double-click on the program INSTALL.EXE via
the Windows Explorer in the CD-ROM drive. ·
Connect your
desktop computer to the mobile computer and check that the connection
is working. ·
Then please follow
the instructions on the screen. During the installation
on your desktop computer you have the possibility to choose any languages
(i.e. dictionaries) you want to have copied onto your PC. Desktop computer

At the end of
the installation, the dialog Software will appear. Here you can
select all dictionaries you want to work immediately with. ·
After that please
follow the instructions of the installation program. Note: The transmission of
the program to the mobile computer can take up to 20 minutes, depending
on the size and the selected transfer rate. In this case you have
to carry out a separate deinstallation on your mobile computer as well
as on your desktop computer. Windows CE H/PC Pro and Pocket PC

Using the menu
sequence Start – Settings select the entry Remove Programs.
Select the entry AlphaSoft TrueTerm CE and the corresponding
TrueTerm dictionaries. Then press the Remove button for each
one. ·
Alternatively
you can remove the dictionaries from your mobile computer via the program
AcriveSyn (Tools – Software). Desktop computer

Then click on
Start – Settings – Control panel – Software on your desktop computer
and select the program TrueTerm CE. Then click with the mouse
on the Delete button. ·
Then please follow
the instructions of the deinstallation program. |
