James has included its own Web server that You can configure James from everywhere You like. Installation prerequisites and hints. Installation. If You are installing James the first time, please use the INSTALL.INF to install James. Right click INSTALL.INF and choose "Install". After a possible reboot choose via the menu "start" the entry James. The remaining rest of the setup is done right now and James is started. Windows 95 A. On Windows 95 A James needs the Windows 95 Update 1, the DCOM 1.3 Update and the WinSock2 Update. If you have problems to run DCOM with Windows 95 then try to install the IPX/SPX compatible protocol. Your problems will possibly go away - this is a limitation of Windows 95. Windows 95 B. Within Windows 95 B (OSR2) You have to install first the DCOM 1.3 Update and the WinSock2 Update. If you have problems to run DCOM with Windows 95 then try to install the IPX/SPX compatible protocol. Your problems will possibly go away - this is a limitation of Windows 95. Windows 98. On Windows 98 there has to be installed the DCOM 1.3 Update. Windows NT. Within Windows NT 4.0 at least the Service Pack 5. You can obtain the various updates for Windows operating systems from the Microsoft homepage. Netscape. If you are using James with Netscape then You have to use at least Netscape 4.5 or greater. Set the Memory Cache and the Disk Cache of Netscape to 0 kBytes. Clear both, the Disk and Memory Cache. Internet Explorer. If you are using James with Internet Explorer then You have to use at least Version 4 or greater.
