Subject: [*] Common Objects Of Activities Of Daily Living

Common Objects is a HyperCard stack which trains recognition of common
objects found throughout activities of daily living. It is designed to
be accessible through keyboard/mouse, touchscreen, or single switch scan
(mouse mode). It also provides a Lesson Summary to track individual
consumer progress.

Common Objects Of ADL works best with HyperCard 2.2 or later. In order
to display color appropriately, HyperCard's preferred memory size should
be set to 2200K or higher.

Common Objects Of ADL is shareware. You are welcome to distribute this
program to others who work with persons with disabilities. If you
decide to use Common Objects Of ADL, please help to support shareware.

Dave's System 7 Scheme 1.0

Dave's System 7 Scheme 1.0 is a System 7 scheme for Kaleidoscope that works
with Mac OS 8! Unlike the System 7 scheme that comes with Kaleidoscope,
this scheme uses the regular Kaleidoscope WDEF instead of the System 7
WDEF. The advantages of this approach are that windows are now dragable
from all sides and, unlike the System 7 scheme that currently comes with
Kaleidoscope, this System 7 scheme works with Mac OS 8! Greg is working on
making his System 7 scheme (including the *real* System 7 WDEF) Mac OS 8
compatible, but until that scheme comes out this scheme will do the job
just fine.

Dave's System 7 scheme is freeware.

S

What does "Deskpop" do?
Deskpop is a Control Strip module which lists all volumes, folders and
files currently on the Mac's desktop. This is especially useful for the
(hopefully short) time the desktop is cluttered. Selecting an item from
the Deskpop menu will open it, option-selecting will reveal it in the
Finder.

Requirements
Requires Mac OS 7.1 or better, and scriptable Finder (which is integrated
into Mac OS 7.5 and better, I believe).

For more information, please read the Read Me file enclosed.

Digital Diary v1.6
Activity and Decision Tracker for the Macintosh

System Requirements: System 6 and 7, Mac Plus or better (including PowerMac)=
,
1.6 megs free RAM, =B11 Meg disk space

While most personal information managers focus on scheduling and
contacts management, Digital Diary concentrates on keeping an organized
record of your work, allowing you quick and easy retrieval of a project's
history when most needed.

Digital Diary allows fingertip access to the current status of any
projects, allowing you to see all activities on all projects on any day you
choose. On a complex project, there could be a dozen or more separate
issues at the same time, each of which has its own distinct status and
decision process. Wouldn't it be great to be able to pull up the history
and present status of each of these at any time?

Digital Diary organizes note entries into project and day files so that
current reports of all activities on any given day or project can be
instantly viewed. Projects are organized under user-defined categories in a
hierarchical pop-up menu. Projects can be easily transferred between
categories, making it ideal for use as a convenient project status
indicator. Entries are identified with a header containing the type of
activity, project name, category, note number, and date and time of entry.
'To do list' entries will pop up to remind you of unattended items at a
chosen future date. Versatile report generation can gather, for example,
all notes of a given activity type or project status.

Digital Diary=81 replaces:
To do lists, diaries, reminder notes, day files, telephone notes
and all sorts of other memory joggers. And it's fun to use!

Regards, Eric

Subject: [*] Finder Quiting Scripts

Just in case you have no clue what the garbage you're downloading is...

I've made three AppleScripts that require no real effort and are stunningly
simple to create. Basically, they are used to quit the Finder ( which
frees up RAM and alleviates "memory leaks" ) without force-quitting or even
restarting in the case of meory leakage. Here are the scripts:

-Quit Finder: Quits the Finder
-Reload Finder: Reloads the Finder ( the only way I know how to run this
w/o the Finder is to attach it to a Eudora message and double-click. This
trick probably works w/ E-mailer as well. )
-Quit / Reload Finder: Quits and immediately reloads the Finder.

* Text window now scrolls automatically.
* Maximum number of files per folder that can be sorted at one time has
been raised from 400 to 2000.

Subject: [*] QuizPro 2.0

For the Mac with Speech Manager optional. This was formerly called
Multiple Choice Quiz. It has been 7 years in the making from college,
through medical school through Residency. This stack will help you or
your classroom learn efficiently through the philosophy of "repetition
is your friend." By entering a test topic with questions and answers
separated by a comma, you can generate 6 different variations of
multiple choice quzzing or fillin and each quiz is different with each
use. You can use this stack to learn vocabulary, spelling, concept
understanding, foreign language. This stack also integrates Speech
Manager which aid in giving spelling tests and with Spanish Macintalk
can also aid in learning Spanish effectively for you or your students. A
number of teachers use this stack in their classroom. Some have
actually use it to adminster quizzes because this stack will record the
scores of your students and can keep a record of missed answers for
later review. Some teachers actually use this stack for remedial
purposes so no child can move on to the next spelling test until they
can spell all the words in the previous week's list. Try it, you will
like it.

Subject: [*] SchemeChecker 1.0 - a utility for checking Kaleidoscope schemes

When Greg Landweber released Kaleidoscope 1.5, he started supporting
third party color schemes. Anybody can now make their own schemes, but
unfortunately, not all scheme designers are careful enough to make sure
their schemes are bug free.

SchemeChecker can help you make bug free color schemes. It checks your
schemes for errors like:
   - missing "System Heap" and "Purgeable" bits
   - missing resources
   - resources not needed

Version 1.0 of SchemeChecker is based on the resource set from
Kaleidoscope 1.7.1.

SchemeChecker is primarily a utility for scheme designers, but if you are
experiencing strange, unexplained problems with your mac: freezes,
crashes etc., and you have Kaleidoscope installed, running SchemeChecker
on your favorite schemes may help you figure out what is causing the
problems.

Subject: [*] TableCloths 2.0 desktop patterns

Welcome to TableCloths 2.0...

Well folks, apparently I wasn't generous enough the first time around.
Admittedly, the 10 desktop patterns that I included in release 1.0 of
TableCloths is insignificant by current standards. I also admit that I
didn't make things terribly easy on those valiant souls who decided to
register their copies of TableCloths 1.0. In order to make it up to
you, I present TableCloths 2.0!!! All registered users of TableCloths
1.0 remain registered for release 2.0, and for you "rookies" out there,
I've made the registration of this release INSULTINGLY SIMPLE...

TableCloths has always been the only collection of authentic
Scottish-tartan desktop patterns. I painstakingly hand-rendered each
one from a catalog of tartans, and each is as accurate as can be (down
to within a stich or two). TableCloths 2.0 boasts a long list of tartan
desktop patterns (I warn you, some more "appealing" than others), and
contains a number of "musical instrument" patterns (which are also very
difficult to come by), includes support for black-and-white Macs, as
well as a number of patterns I rendered just for fun.

While the version you have downloaded contains several desktop patterns,
it is only a demo-release, and only scratches the surface!!!
Registration ($15 - by cash or money order only - Sorry!!!) entitles you
to the full-release - over 30 ADDITIONAL patterns - which will be
e-mail'd (or snail-mail'd by request) to you upon receipt of payment.

the demo-release includes:

Inter-blocks: this one looks like popular children's building blocks
Silver Pyramid: space-age wall tiles
BeBack: a purple-colored background resembling the one (and only)
desktop pattern
under the BeOS, and looks great with Greg Landweber's
BeView extension; it
also matches the background of Apple's Launcher 7.5.5
MacLean: (pronounced mac-lane) not a burger, but an authentic
reproduction of the
tartan worn by the Scottish clan of the same name
Black Watch: quite possibly the most widely-recognized tartan
Davidson: my favorite tartan of all (and, um, the one worn by my
family...)
MacDonald: gain some insight into Ronald's lineage
MacNab: the tartan with the autumn-feel
Scott & Menzies: black-and-white tartans, for you color-challenged
Mac-users
Clarinet: guess...
Trumpet: guess again...
Piano: guess yet again...
