If you are unable to create your stunnel.pem file (for example if you are using the precompiled binaries and do not have OpenSSL installed on your system) you can use the following form to generate a stunnel.pem file for you. Just enter the information and then click the 'Generate stunnel.pem File' button.

Note: It will take a long time to generate the key and certificate, so just sit back and wait after you hit the 'Generate' button. It could take up to a few minutes if it gets unlucky enough.

Warning: I strongly suggest you create your own PEM file manually on a trusted system.

  • You know nothing about the server on which this program is running.
  • You've never met the person who programmed this page.
  • This file has your private key in it with no passphrase.
  • You're sending your PEM file over the Internet in the clear.
  • Thus, any cracker inbetween you and the webserver can see this file.
If I haven't dissuaded you yet, by all means fill out this form and generate your PEM file.

Two letter code, e.g. "US"
State or Province Name

Full name, e.g. "Illinois"
Locality Name

City, e.g. "Evanston"
Organization Name

Company, e.g. "Stunnel Technologies, Ltd"
Organizational Unit Name

Section, e.g. "Web Commerce Division"
Common Name

This should be the fully qualified domain name of your server, such as 'www.example.org'
Certificate Valid Time

How long in days is this certificate valid.
Generate DH Parameters?

Do you need Diffie-Hellman parameters generated as well? Usually not. Save my computer some CPU cycles and say 'no'
