the only idea I have is, you didn't have installed a certificate yet.
look below (Extras)->Options->security.
(I hope the translation is right, because I have only a german version.)
If there is a client certificate installed, it is to be seen under "Digital
IDs"
If not, try to generate one using openssl.
at first a pair private/public key (certificate request), the second has to
become certified by an CA (can also be done by yourself using openssl, but
requires the generation of an CA certificate first) ... and then import both
into OE (IE)
