You have obviously never attempted to use a WinModem under Linux. :)
This card ONLY works under WIN, and no, the required docs to make it work with
anything else are not provided or available. 
Do I bitch? No, I buy a card that is compatible. I am not a programmer, so I
really have no choice in the matter. 

In the final analysis, I'll buy whatever card is supported by my platform. If
a manufacturer is too short-sighted to provide programmers with required
info he'll not only lose that sale, but many more in the future as his product
is not supported. 

Thier loss. Move on.
