Locking

Well, I turned over the whole locking issue in my head {late last
night,early this morning} and I tried to come up with a few scenarios that
illustrated the advantages of what I was proposing.  I came up with the
scenarios, all right, but they didn't prove my point -- they proved
Marcus's.

You win, man. :)
