I am willing to act as a temporary maintainer. I am currently the Mach64
maintainer. Don't expect me to do a lot of work on the code, but I can
test, and merge into the CVS repository.

Um, yeah, you can remove it, but it will leave the card in a bad state. As
to the second question.. I'll let someone else figure this out..
