question about naming of configure options

Hello.

I was just compiling ggi and I noticed that libgii and libggi use
the configure option --enable-confdir=DIR but libggi2d uses
the name --enable-ggi-confdir=DIR. Is there some reason these
configure names are not the same?

I also did not see a --with-gii or --with-ggi option to libggi2d.
Without these option how would libggi2d know where to look for
ggi include and lib files?
