It means that LibGGI will render in an X window. LibGGI itself does not
contain graphics drivers, but it uses "targets" that do the actual
displaying stuff. The X target is one of those.

Yes. KGI is designed to be a OS and architecture independent graphics driver
system that uses glue layers to adapt to different OSes and
HW-architectures.
