What kernel version do you use? I had the same problem with the Millennium
driver with 2.1.107->2.1.110 or something. But I don't get the same error
with the 2.1.111 kernel.

Where did you find the XF68_FBDev binary for ix86, I've been searching for
that some days now, any url?
