Do you mean, just have the drivers determine 'good' video modes for a
chipset/monitor pair, and generate a mode list from those? Then alter libggi
to 'cache' those in a file? Then write a 'kgitune' applet that will let you
adjust the properties of the screen in a fullscreen mode?
