Nope, I meant the svgalib wrapper :) From what I can tell, quake2 and qwcl
are trying to set mode 1600x1400. I put in an option to force the video
mode in the wrapper (quick-hack), and things worked better, but there was
still tearing in the upper 1/4 of my screen.

This may all be a bug in the permedia2 frame buffer device, I'll try to
get a hold of the fb utils and find out.
