Yes, though it will emulate one if the target doesn't have one.

The Permedia 2 fbdev driver is nothing to with the GGI-project, ask about
this on the kernel development list.

There will be a Permedia 2 *KGI* driver though, I think Steffen will be
working on it (though I'm not sure).
