disabling fbcon

i get this in make menuconfig:

               --- GGI Console and FBcon are incompatible.
               --- Disable FBcon support to use GGI Console

i don't see where to disable fbcon in menuconfig. do i hand-edit .config?
if so, jason, could i get a copy of your .config for ppc?

(i get this message even if i use arch/ppc/defconfig)

using vger 2.1.124. ggicon patches applied cleanly.
