Argh, help!

?????
Suddenly kgicon stopped working for me!
Since yesterday, whenever I try to insert the millennium driver
I get this:
Aug 26 12:22:54 adamel kernel: TVP 3026 DAC driver rev $Revison: 1.10 $
Aug 26 12:22:54 adamel kernel: tvp3026.c:300: unknown chip ID (ff).
Aug 26 12:22:54 adamel kernel: error: kgim_ramdac_init failed

However, the driver from Aug 22 that I have works fine:
Aug 26 12:23:12 adamel kernel: TVP 3026 DAC driver rev $Revison: 1.10 $
Aug 26 12:23:12 adamel kernel: tvp3026.c:315: TVP 3026 rev 04.02
detected.
Aug 26 12:23:12 adamel kernel: tvp3026.c:332: Using 135 MHz mode

And the _REALLY_, _REALLY_ weird part is that even though I'm
using a freshly untarred kernel sourcetree (2.1.116, same version
as my kernel and the working driver), _ALL_ the CVS snapshots
between 980819 and 980824 gives the exact same error!
(I didn't try any older snapshots as everything used to work fine
before yesterday)

Does anyone have a clue of where the error might be here?
