Ugh, modutils 2.0.0.  I figured it was ok when i noticed that
that was the latest version I could find on whatever large
ftp server I was looking on (probably sunsite), but now I look
at linux/Documentation/Changes and see that 2.1.85 is required.

Forget it.  Let me upgrade, and I'll come whining back if I
still have problems.
