question re fbdev

Hi all,

I'm just wondering, can ggi display on the standard fbdev video drivers
without inserting the kgicon module? I thought so, but I've heard
someone say somewhere that this doesn't work (I can't test because I'm
using Linux 2.0.33).

Can someone clarify for me?
