Yes... That's before you run con2fbmap.

Don't know. Try XF68_FBDEV.

No idea. Have fixed similar problems -- are you sure you have a 5510?Try
changing the debuglevel to 9 in gx.c, clock/prog/ics5342.c, whatever monitor
driver you're using, ... and kgi-fbcon.c and send me the results.
