I take this back...  with the monosync SVGA monitor driver, I can get up to
1024x768 (the monitor driver's max) but the refresh rate is so low you can 
almost count the frames :)  with the ADI Microscan 4V driver which just about
matches my monitor, I don't think 800x600 has ever worked. (but 640x480 does.)
