the GGI_AUTO size for AA is 80x25.  Stupid, no way around it, AAlib
can't report the default size of the driver.  Or at least I know of no
way to do so (the AAlib documentation isn't clear on this).

On a terminal you can set
GGI_DEFMODE=[terminal_width*2]x[terminal_height*2].
