I haven't a Riva TNT card. I have a Matrox Millenium II PCI, but when I
load the module first the screen is white till to the bash line. Then I
have white text on black background. Mode switching is ok, except
800x600x8bpp. This is on the old kgicon system, which is in the current
ggi-snapshots. I will try the new kgi-0.9 system from steven.

Take the latest archive. I think you should test it also. It could be that
the bugs - you have - are (partly) fixed.
