H. G. Othmer, F. R. Adler, M. A. Lewis, and J. C. Dallon, ``Case Studies in Mathematical Modeling---Ecology, Physiology, and Cell Biology'', Prentice-Hall (1996), ISBN 0-13-574039-8.and for the chapters of the book itself.
This book was written as a followup to the Special Year in Mathematical Biology which was hosted by the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT 84112, USA, during the 1995--1996 academic year.
Although the bibliographic data in these files includes ISSN and CODEN for most journal entries, and LCCN (Library of Congress Catalog Number) data for most book-like entries, that information was suppressed in the final book bibliographies, in order to save space. However, ISBN values, where available (generally, all books since 1972) were included in the chapter bibliographies in the book. The author's extended is-*.bst style files, and the csmmepcb.bst file used for the book, available at ftp://ftp.math.utah.edu/pub/tex/bib all support the inclusion of these additional values in bibliographies.
Because of citation duplications in the original data, there are some small variations in how some publications are cited in the chapter bibliographies. The source files for the book were frozen on 26 November 1996, when the final PostScript page images were delivered to the publisher. No further changes will be made in them until the publisher is ready for a second printing with corrections.
This bibliography file WILL continue to be updated as additional information becomes available, such as for papers and books still in press at the time the book was completed. However, no entries that are not already cited in the book will be added.
The author/editor index in the book provides a complete cross-reference between all co-authors and co-editors in all literature citations, as well as an index into the book pages where the literature is cited. In addition, each entry in the chapter bibliographies contains a braced list of page numbers that tell where the entry was cited.
